Daniel X by James Patterson

I can always count on a James Patterson novel to take my mind off just about anything and give me a break from the real world.

Daniel was only 3 years old when his parents were brutally killed. Daniel has special abilities that allow him to manipulate things and gives him the power to hunt down the big, bad aliens responsible for his parents death. You see Daniel is not from this world, he comes from a planet called Alpar Nok. Since his parents death Daniel has been hunting aliens and facing near death situations. His parents died protecting the list of aliens that were to be destroyed and now Daniel has inherited this list.

There is enough humor to make this book enjoyable and enough suspense and tension to keep you reading until the last page. Assuming this is the first book in a series that will highlight Daniel X it was a great introduction to a story that is well thought out and entertaining for people of all ages.
